Meet Jamie Murphy
Jamie is a dedicated public servant with a passion for responsible leadership and community growth. Jamie most recently served as Chief Deputy Treasurer for Aransas County, she worked to strengthen financial accountability, modernize operations, and ensure that public funds were managed with transparency and integrity.
Prior to her tenure in county government, Jamie spent over a decade with JP Morgan Chase, progressing through leadership roles in customer experience, compliance, and operational analysis. Jamie holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi, where she developed a disciplined, data-driven approach to problem-solving and organizational leadership. Jamie also holds an Associate of Arts in Business from Northwest Vista College.
Originally from San Antonio, Jamie chose to make Rockport her home; a place where her family has built lasting roots and a shared commitment to serving others. With more than a decade of experience in financial management, public service, and organizational leadership, Jamie believes that strong communities are built through collaboration, trust, and forward-thinking leadership.
Jamie is deeply invested in the future of Aransas County and remains focused on finding solutions that strengthen our local economy, protect our values, and create opportunities for the next generation.
Leadership of Aransas County Class XXIX
As an active member in the Leadership of Aransas County program, Jamie is also this years class Treasurer. This leadership development program is designed to identify and cultivate individuals with the interest and potential to serve in our community's many leadership roles. A graduate of LAC should have the strongest potential for future leadership and will have the capability of contributing greatly to Aransas County through their continued service and many other worthy endeavors.
